Hannah’s love for tutoring:
I am very passionate about teaching youth!! I can be quite firm at times as i feel the need to correct children and not only be their friend. I thank God and pray that God give me wisdom and place me at correct timing so that my words carry weight to the youth, especially Hannahtuition youths. 🙂

Fun fact: Although I have no knowledge at all in golf, I was a pre-schooler golf teacher during my university term breaks. I remembered the golf school founder telling me that ALL she need from her golf teachers is to be passionate about working with young children. With that, I was put through several months of basic golf training program and passed the golf etiquette and golf rules tests. Seeing young children being able to focus in their putting gives me great satisfaction. Much more achievement is felt when students understand that having good golf etiquette is better than scoring a birdie.

Over the years, i realise that this blog has spun from a personal blog to a website where many of my students, parents and friends follow my posts especially on my teaching materials.

I became a mum in Oct 2014 and my second child is born in 2016. I am thankful that God has gifted me with 2 champions!
Thank God I can still do the job I seriously enjoy much and yet spend most of my time with my children. Although, this takes a lot of adjustments and disciplined as a work-from-home-mum.

As my children grow into their schooling years, I decided to slow down (in terms of work) and lead an more restful life.
I will have to cut down on more classes to take care of my 2 children in primary school. I apologize if I cant accept your child in my small group classes. Taking a secondary student requires a lot of commitment on my part because I am doing customized coaching and I am still learning to take students’ results less personally. 🙂
In recent years, Ms Tan joined Hannahtuition and took over Sec 1, 2, 3 Maths classes. She’s not only incredibly skilled in the subject, consistently achieving stellar Maths and Science results from Olevels to University, her teaching style is approachable and effective. Students looking to excel in math will find her guidance invaluable. I am so glad she is on this teaching journey with me in Hannahtuition.
I will still go in once in a month to take her different classes so to be familiar with the students before they move up to my upper secondary classes. This co-teaching style has worked very well! We have seen students scoring FULL MARKS in her class and E8 to A1!
Indeed, as I (am learning to) put my eyes on Lord Jesus and not on the worldly demands and worldly wealth, He bring me to a land flowing with milk and honey.

What are your charges for 1-1 and group tuition? For group classes, what is the class size?
Hi Eva, Sorry for the late reply. I was very busy with tuition before the mid year exams. I just came back from a short trip and hence I can only reply you now.
My charges for 1-1 tuition depends on the student academic level and the location.
My group tuition charges ranges from $195-$290 for 4 lessons ( cover 2 subjects) depending on academic level. I take in maximum 4 students in a class.

Currently I do not have any 1 to 1 slots for primary school.
Actually, I do not really teach lower Primary students as I realise its not my specialisation. Most of my students are in Sec and upper primary.
I do have some primary three students. I usually do a trial class for primary 3 students and access if I can manage them. Thanks.

Yes, I do conduct revision/booster classes during Sep holidays but my schedule is full now.

I am very sorry. I only take in 4 students per group. That way, I can answer to their needs individually.
Also, today is the last revision class for my Sec 2 Maths and Science class in the Sep holidays.

Yes, I do conduct revision and “head-start” programme every Nov and Dec.
Revision is important because it helps build a strong foundation in the students to move up the next level.
I believe that this is especially important for Maths and Science. 🙂
I will also be teaching next academic level topics in the Nov and Dec holiday programme.
