Hannahtuition is trying to go as ‘paperless’ as possible so no hardcopy will be given to you. Acknowledgment of the Terms & Conditions is completed through the registration link.

Throughout my teaching years, I am glad to say that I do not really have any bad encounter with students’ parents. Thank God.

Hannahtuition has established these terms and conditions to provide clarity on expectations for parents.

Coming from an engineering background before I found my calling in teaching, I actually love drafting SOPs (Standard Operating Procedues) and guidelines so that everyone are on the same page.

As one of my mentor always says “Good fence makes good neighbours.” 🙂

SIGN-UP FEES

– Registration fee $15 (Non-refundable)
– 2-weeks deposit. (Refundable or offset upon 2 weeks notice during withdrawal)
– Annual materials fee $45-75 (depending on levels). (Non-refundable)

PAYMENT OF FEES

Tuition fees are charged on a monthly sessions basis and full payment must be made payable at the beginning of every calender month prior to the start of a class.

Annual Material fees covers the cost of printing a substantial amount of worksheets and exam papers for students. The breakdown is as follows:

• Math (Sec 1 to Sec 3) – $45
  Students are required to purchase two practice books (Vol A and Vol B) from Popular. These books are for foundational practice only; additional worksheets and exam papers will still be provided.

• Science (Sec 1 to Sec 3) – $55
  Students will need to purchase 1 practice book from Popular (per subject). Additional worksheets and exam papers will be printed and provided during lessons.

• Sec 4 Maths and Science – $75
  No additional books are required. All necessary worksheets and exam papers will be printed and supplied.

Please note that annual material fees are non-refundable in the event of a student’s withdrawal from class.

Public Holidays

There are no classes on public holidays and no lesson fees collected for cancelled lessons.

(Exception applies if PH is near exams or WAs).

Mrs Chew and some tutors may be available to conduct lessons or make-up classes on public holiday mornings. Please inform us in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

School Holidays (* Please Take Note)

There will be

• 2 weeks tuition break in June.
• 2 weeks tuition break in Nov
• 2 weeks break in Dec. (Last 2 weeks of the year)

Holiday programmes run for 2 weeks in June and 4–5 weeks in Nov/Dec school holidays. Lessons continue as usual during the March and September holidays.

To secure a slot for the next academic year, students must attend at least 4 out of 5 holiday classes during Nov/Dec holidays. Existing students may use their 3 annual offsets for missed HOLIDAYS sessions. 

Cancellation of tuition lessons

Tuition lesson cancellations must be made at least three days in advance. We are unable to offer replacement lessons for same-day cancellations unless an MC or official school letter is provided. If parents inform us earlier (3 days before lesson day) that their child is unable to attend, no documentation is required for replacement lessons.

Make up tuition lessons

Math students may attend an alternative on-site class or arrange a 1–1¼ hour individual/paired Zoom make-up session on a weekday morning or afternoon during HBL days. They may also opt for a 1-hour on-site session at Mrs Chew’s residence in Canberra.

Science make-up lessons are 1-hour sessions conducted either via Zoom or on-site at Mrs Chew’s residence.

Please note that make-up sessions are limited to a maximum of three per term.

We appreciate parents understanding, as excessive rescheduling requires significant coordination. Additionally, some parents have taken advantage of make-up sessions to arrange smaller classes or one-on-one lessons at their preferred times.

Please note 3 lessons offset clause** below.

** There will be no charges for up to three missed lessons per year for June and Nov/Dec Holiday programs. 

However, after three offsets, any additional missed lessons will be charged. ** 

Make-up sessions are not provided for June and Year-end holiday classes.

Increment of lesson fees

Kindly note that there will be an increment in the monthly rate when the student moves up to the next academic level.

Small Steps Good Grades Online Science Study Resource

All onsite Science students are required to subscribe to our online Science resource, with weekly lesson links sent via WhatsApp. This is a compulsory component of our learning system, even if students do not use it every week, as we believe regular access to structured weekly revision is key to mastering the extensive Secondary Science syllabus.

Resources, Photos And Media

Due to the proprietary nature of tuition business, teaching resources, photos and videos may only be taken with the prior permission of Hannahtuition.

Hannahtuition will be sharing students’ pictures and school papers results on our fb/ig/google page. By accepting the T&Cs, parents permit Hannahtuition to use, in whole or in part, photographs, videos, and his or her work, and pictures of their test results on test papers for illustrations, publications, websites, and Hannahtuition marketing.

To ensure the privacy of individuals, images will not be identified using personal identifying information. 

Termination

A fourteen (14) days’ notice is required for any withdrawal by the parent(s). The deposit will be used to offset the fees for the final two weeks of lessons.

Scenario 1: If the parent provides notice mid-month that the child will not continue classes the following month, the deposit will be refunded.

Scenario 2: If the parent provides notice at the end of the month that the child will not continue classes the following month, the deposit will be applied to cover the two-week notice period, and the student will attend the last two lessons of the next month. No deposit will be refunded.

Refund and Results Policy

All fees for classes delivered are non-refundable. While we welcome students of all abilities, including those who may be struggling, we do not guarantee specific results. We accept students with weak foundations and poor grades, even within our limited small-group classes. While we do not guarantee specific results, we assure parents and students that we will always give our utmost effort. We are thankful for the numerous positive reviews parents and students have left for us on google and facebook throughout the years. Improvements and good results are also shared frequently on our social handles.

We believe that the quality of our teaching is demonstrated through our commitment, not by promised outcomes.

Most of our students come through long-standing recommendations and trusted relationships. Academic growth is not always linear and Hannahtuition believe students should be accountable for their academic improvements.

We aim to work with parents who appreciate this philosophy.

Conduct and Homework Compliance

Students who disrupt classes or consistently fail to submit homework on time will have their parents formally informed. To protect the learning environment for all students, continued issues for one month after the warning may result in the student being asked to withdraw from the class. We seek all parents’ understanding on this.🙆‍♀️
