How we find home tutor in Singapore

Many tuition agencies will recommend tutors to parents based on schedules and parents’ requirements.

• test candidate tutors with real PSLE or ‘O’ Level questions ( I believe Hannah tuition agency is the only tuition agency doing this)
• ensure that candidate tutors indeed scored an distinction in their teaching subjects
• conduct phone interviews to find out more on their teaching styles

Tutor Screening Process

• Current MOE teachers – Hannah Tuition Agency will ask for their MOE email address. We can check if their MOE email address is still active by requesting them to acknowledge an email sent to their MOE email address from us.

• Full-time tutors/ Part-time tutors / Ex-MOE teachers
  •  Hannah Tuition Agency will require them to solve some PSLE/O-levels Maths or Science problems in a stipulated time. This can be done via meetings with tutors or over whatsapp messaging. After which, I will ask the tutors to explain how they did they solve the questions with their methodology.
  • Hannah Tuition Agency will check their academic certificates to ensure they score an distinction in their teaching subjects.

Hannah Tuition Agency’s Terms and Conditions

1. Commencement of Lesson
Parent/student can terminate the tuition any time and is liable to pay for all lessons provided by the tutor.

2. Commission
50% commission of the first month’s tuition fee is levied on the tutor but collected from the parent/student either via online payment, bank transfer or cheque.

Payment is due when the tutor fulfils 50% of the agreed monthly lesson frequency. Reminder SMS/email/watsapp messages will be sent to the parent/student on payment date. Legal action will be taken when parent/student refuse to make payment after engaging Hannah Tuition Agency’s service.

Special clause for tutors: Upon accepting assignment and receiving tuition address, tutors are liable to pay Hannah Tuition Agency the full commission of first month’s tuition fee if they didn’t turn up for the assignment or cancel the assignment for any reasons.
